忐忑

Last night was Cheng’s first official sleepover at my brother’s minus those days I was away for labour or warded for dengue. While it was not the first for Xuan, the brothers still cried a bucket and refused to let me go. So they were hugging and kissing me, holding on my feet and asking me to stay. But I just couldn’t stay because I have to work the next day and they were in dilemma to come home since they wanted to watch ultraman on Astro. So we eventually left and the show began. The moment I turned back to wave goodbye at them, Xuan was no longer in sight. Cheng wasn’t looking at me all me, totally attracted to the tv. There will be another ultraman in the next morning which they can’t miss so they have to stay on.

I was the one feeling nervous to sleep last night. My sil updated me that they were fine with some photos that they were totally enjoying their tv time. I did not video-call them for dear that they would cry and insist to come home. But I’m so thankful that mum and sil are willing to put up with the two boys who are really rough. This morning, the baby sister woke up looking for her elder brothers. She flipped the blanket and babbled. We so miss them. Today, we shall see how the boys survive.
