post polling day

So the whole nation went thru a whole lot of smooth and peaceful transition of power for the past few days. We were worried earlier on if something bad would happen if there was a change but the politic is getting more matured, bless us. So before the general election, Xuan came home to tell me his conversation with friends that I would get a new boss. I got a shock because I couldn’t believe some 7yo boys talking about politics and asking me why. So I gave Xuan an example about choosing the right people to manage his school. He seemed to understand but probably not. The results came out and the whole nation was celebrating the appointment of our new but not-really-new PM. Hubby and I pointed at the tv and told Xuan, this PM was our PM when daddy and mummy were small, now he is made our PM again. If you wonder who he is, the stunning KLCC where you like to go to its water park is his idea, the Putrajaya where you like to go picnic is also his idea, and the KLIA where you like to go because the planes take you places is again his idea. Xuan just wow-ed and I forgot to tell him that your daddy attended a luncheon held by him and got invited for a tour in Putrajaya when he scored straights As in SPM 17 years ago. How time flies that now you are 7 and he came back as our PM again. We learn a lot from this ordeal that life is indeed full of changes. May this country, our home, continue to be blessed and prosper with peace and harmony.

A new change

I have been having a mixed feeling, overwhelmed but at the same time melancholic thinking about the political landscape in this country that we love. It has got more interesting I must say. But it’s always good to see some new changes! The majority of people have spoken and the voice’s gotta be heard. We definitely have some lessons to learn from everyone, the victory and the defeat! I hope everyone can maintain a good coalition and make sure Malaysia is always in peace and harmony, all for the better future of our children.

every 5 years

Tomorrow is a big day for this country that we truly love. Since Xuan's school is one of the polling stations, the school is off for two days for its preparation which requires another Saturday for replacement. I did not plan to take the boys along but I guess I have to because Xuan's classmates shared some political views with him, albeit funny, I should let him see and feel the environment himself. Kids at 7 were talking about politic and that enlightens me a lot.

cheeky xuan turns 18mo

Xuan is 18 months tomorrow and we are going to celebrate it back in kelantan!! My boy aka little boss is getting more restless and playful. I can no longer carry him for a long period of time though my tummy is still quite small. I have a mild back pain whenever i carry him and bend down to pick up things on the floor. But my tummy is already bigger than the last time when i was pregnant with xuan. Many people back home miss xuan so much, i ancipate heavy traffic in kelantan, maybe terrible jam as well. Anyway, happy voting folks!!
