books

I won’t really know if I have the time to complete our yearbook of 2018. I have been really busy, but looking at these, perhaps I should make 3 copies each so that the kids can have one copy when they are big. I told the boys that I have nothing for them but these. Please share these among yourselves when daddy and mummy are gone one day to reminisce the good old times you have. Xuan and Cheng said: let’s not talk about this sad story, mummy. We will cry. It can get quite sentimental sometimes...

But anyway I have completed Xin Yi’s book that features her first year of life. I didn’t do the second, third and subsequent years because I might use the same photos, so I do a year book instead, which I haven’t had time for 2018 one. I tend to get very greedy that I insist to put all photos in it, resulting in smaller photos. But that’s just so me!!

last night's story

No other photobooks catches my kids' attention as much as this latest edition which features our pictures in Tokyo. The book has some photos of them with ultraman so they get excited whenever they see those. Last night, as the kids were flipping the book, they got reminded of their trip so tears streamed down their faces, they sobbed and mumbled, I miss Japan before they went to sleep. Hubby who was already sleeping, got up and feeling annoyed, "what's so special with Japan that makes you miss it so much. Let's sleep." So daddy, being very practical forced everyone to sleep and made them cry even harder. It's not easy to tuck the kids into bed. They are always full of energy so we have to drain them out. This sad episode of forcing them to sleep repeats everyday at home which makes hubby and me stressed. No doubt it's world peace after they fall asleep. Baby XY, at 19mo, even skips her nap during weekend to play with her brothers. It's hard to think that she, at such young age, is getting more playful.

travel books

Finally completed our travel book of 2017. I have a habit of making our travel memories into a book, and because going to Europe is always my big travel of the year, I make it into hardcover to remember the memories I have with kids. My kids love traveling just like me, but I think they enjoy long-haul flights more than the scenery. This year, we have no places to go. Put a stop to Europe, like finally!
