At this age, Xuan has grown very loving and thoughtful. My bro was standing at the stairs and Xuan told him to be careful of the steps. My sister said she has no money to buy pants. Xuan handed her 10 sen from his pocket. When the lil bro took his toy, he told the bro off by saying, "you can't take that, you haven't gone to school yet." Xuan must have picked it up from someone who has said the same thing to him. He will look for his didi before bedtime. My sis pulled his legs by saying didi had walked down the stairs and Xuan got a big shock. Xuan has been a reckless driver, but when didi is sitting at the back, he rides carefully and slowly. But he is getting out of hands when we are out and about. The other day we took him to ikea and all he did was roam and roam. Once, an auntie told me to get a harness for him.
On the other hand, didi is getting more playful and active too. He knows how to make requests and refuses to be in the cot. When I babywear him, he takes his hands out and pulls hubby's shirt like asking for rescue. He is another cheeky baby who screams when the bro goes near him or takes his toys. Cheng is always different from Xuan and with him, I have learnt many new things that every child is different and unique in their very own way. He hardly falls asleep on my boobs. It's always hubby who makes him to bed after I nurse him. This could be the phase when he easily gets distracted. Hubby has to hold him tight in his arms and sings lullaby. If he hears sounds like Xuan is talking, he will open his eyes and both will start playing again.
My house was on water rationing for the past two days when I was not around. I have been telling my housemates to have quick shower so that we will have enough water in the tank. We surprisingly did not use a lot of the water we have stored, despite hubby had to cook a few meals. This is something very positive and I'm also surprisingly calm toward it, though I thought he could have used somewhat lesser. I dun quite get the message behind it. It definitely did not tell me to conserve water because I do not waste water by nature. What it has taught me is I came to realise I dun need and use a lot of water at all. The only trouble I have is, to keep the water aside to wash kids' stuff esp breast pump and dishes.
