Missing my Starbucks fix
Ever since my sad episode of gastritis on the New Year's Day, I have been trying my best to avoid coffee or any food that contains caffeine. But I still can't resist my all-time-favourite, black tea which has stronger caffeine than coffee. I was surprised that my stomach can take it without any problem. Apparently, true that tea leaves contains higher caffeine but it depends on how the drinks is prepared. Tea is mostly diluted, so less caffeinated it becomes. However, I also miss my Starbucks fix though. Vincent Tan makes a lot of money of me, hubby used to tease me. Past one week after I stopped visiting Starbucks, we walked past the outlet and Xuan suggested we buy a cup of Frappucino. He said, mummy, let's go to Starbucks, I want to "chia" (buy) you a drink. Looking at my watch, it was already past 5pm. So I have to say no to him. Yesterday, we made our first visit to the outlet in 2016. I wanted to see if my stomach can tolerate coffee. Sadly, I felt nauseated after I made my order. My children finished up the drinks all by themselves with me taking a few sips. After that, I kept burping. I think I can't have coffee yet.
