Small gestures of love

Human heart is very small and fragile that it tends to get broken if it's not well taken care of. For that reason, I always remind myself that is love is not a one-way street, give out and reach out to those we truly love and mind our words so that we do not leave a scar that will make them uneasy. Love is a powerful magic that with love, it comes the happiness and inner peace. This recipe is so common that it gets overlooked by most people nowadays. They are probably busy with life and get distracted by their works, peers and so on and thus neglect the closest people around them. How long have you not been home? How long have you not been cuddling your loved ones? How long have u not been saying I love you? But do u know that the simplest and smallest gesture we can do, is, just to sit beside them, be with them and talk to them. But if distance is a problem, the biggest thing we can help is to not make them worry about us.

Mum has been here since last week. A chat with her over the weekend reminds me that I have always been that "the girl-next-door" who never makes the parents worried about me. Growing up, many have thought that it's my inborn personality to be so. My friends called me nerdy upon knowing that. But no, I just realised that the simplest way to return our love to the loved ones is to make them at peace, feeling no need to worry about me. And at this age if I still do so, then it's just so sinful and I should be guilty.

I guess we just have to accept the fact that we are getting older and everyone is getting older. Long gone are the days that we wish we could say good bye to students' carefree life. I mean we dreamt to be adults when we were younger and the time just comes and goes too quickly!

Last but not least, do not take things in life for granted and selflessly love those our dear ones because life doesn't give us a second chance!
