the fragility of screen protector

Using this new phone into 1.5 months, the screen protectors have cracked twice!! On the very first day I got this phone, hubby talked me into getting a tempered glass screen protector. Since he paid, I didn't argue much but agreed. At that time, I did not think of the screen can be very fragile. I did not even use a case or cover because it's just a gadget. Everything will grow old over time, there is no necessary to take extra care of things just because of them being new (this has been my principle all this while). Two weeks later, hubby found a crack on the phone which I did not realize at all. I was heartache because it's not cheap to replace a new one. But since it was just a small crack and did not affect my view, I held on. Coincidentally, we had sibling reunion that week and my bros testified it was only the screen protector that shattered, so I should get a bumper for the phone. Then, again, hubby sponsored me a new screen protector and case in order to give it a better protection from accidental bumps or drops. I really thought things are all fine and would be perfectly fine! One month later which is today, I found a new crack. I'm sure it is due to the heavy bump when I put  (probably throw!!) the phone into my bag few days ago. It is just a small crack so I'm not gonna change it. But my heart bleeds, how can it succumb to a small bump like that. Hmm...
