On food...

An old friend came back from vacation in Europe and brought us a pack of stroopwafel. What a surprise that Cheng still remembers and requests to have it most of the times. We tried a packet or two during our trip few months ago and I dun remember myself going crazy about it. But it tastes yummy here, very sweet indeed. No wonder Cheng likes it so much and he eats it with rice.
Anyway, Cheng begins to eat a lot these days. My supper is also his. Same goes to my tea break. The confinement lady is going away for a few days and hubby has been the one taking over her job. He has been really busy at work but his cooking feeds my tummy well. Most food is prepared in two portions because my sons will sit and enjoy the food with me.
I can't say if time is passing by too fast or slow. First, the baby turns two weeks old real soon. In another two weeks, she is going to be one month old. How time flies right? This munchkin was still in my tummy two weeks ago, I was still enjoying her kicks and gentle movement. Then I popped! Second, I'm half way thru my confinement. What?! It's only twooooooo weeks and I feel like it has been ages. I still do not know how to appreciate confinement food, on top of that I miss food without alcohol or herbs. Hubby took the kids to mamak and I went green-eyed knowing that they were having roti canai.
Well, I could have a lifetime of going to mamak. Just another 2 weeks to go...
