fear of being confined...

my bearbear suggested that i should go travel during this 3-month holiday cuz i dun breastfeed my baby directly, a vacation getaway sort of thing after the pregnancy and labor i have endured. his idea is somewhat brilliant and interesting, but i certainly doubt his sincerity. i remember those nites when i dun drink, i'll wake up in the middle of the nite to express milk. but i find it hard to fall asleep again as i think abt my baby who is sleeping in the next room. when i hear my baby cry, i'll dash out of my room, hoping that the auntie's room is open so that i can see my baby. most of the time, i'll be disappointed cuz the door is closed shut, i end up looking at my baby's pics in my mobile before i go back to sleep.

the concept of confinement i have is funny. the baby who had been in my tummy for 40 weeks and 3 days doesnt co-sleep wiv me after he is delivered to. instead, he co-sleeps wiv a stranger who takes care of him. this lady baths him, changes his diapers, soothes him to sleep, rocks him when he cries. although i agree wiv the idea of confinement is to allow the mum to have enough rest, so to recuperate and recover from childbirth, i somewhat envy friends of other races who look after their babies on their own. it's not easy, i know. but i thought this is the most crucial time to train babies in our own way.

anyway, counting down to my baby's full moon, mr. bearbear and i are still undecided whether or not to have full moon dinner to invite relatives and friends. maybe we'll just settle for the gift packs. argghh!! im already bored of drinking warm red dates water, i hav had enough of ginger and ginger wine, i dun like dom and hennessy.... time, pls go fast!!
