last friday's buka puasa wiv ayu, shidi and auntie was such a heart-warming reunion despite the absence of pn. wanie. this budak beraya in nyc, dun pray-pray!! so auntie, as sweet as ever, invited us to her house lepak and makan. she prepared the meals, everything, and the only thing i need to do was just... buka mulut and makan.
however, the buka puasa this year, is somewhat different fr the previous ones. the dinner was apparently quiet without pn.wanie. this lady loves crowds. so when she was in msia, there were a lot of buka puasa events, either at penang village, the johnny's or those nice ambience restaurants where me and our gang would go hav a blast - eating, chatting, chilling, like no one's business. talking abt buka puasa, i love mof's buka puasa. the food was yummy, lot of variety, like an indulgence in all-you-can-eat buffet.
back in 2006 when i was in dpa, i used to go pasar ramadhan wiv enot and siti in ttdi where we would buy lotsa stuff, and so we prepared the drinks, waiting whole-heartedly for the azan, then buka puasa. me and chris dun fast, but more often than not we always got hungry first. what a shame!! but i just felt the raya heat that way!! so cool!!
put aside the buka puasa, i got a surprise call fr a close friend of mine. it's been yonks since i met her. it's not we are miles away that we can hardly meet. but we are too busy and preoccupied wiv life, and im anti-social like that. so the last time i met her was probably during cny.
i felt good and comfortable talking to her and the sis. that kind of old familiar feeling came back to me, like we know each other so much, she knows my timetable is packed wiv work and bf, i know she's been occupied at work and she would go home at weekends, like she gotta cope wiv ldr. it's not easy though.
i miss my friends. yean, ling... lian and boy... we should really go for a drink, one day.
